A New School of Poetry

The below is a free verse poem with which I set into motion the most artful vanguard to ever grace the medium of poetry.

The Wild White Cenote

The colubrine head emerged from Its frowsy den;
Its sole adornment the acrid perfume of the catacombs.
A column of light poured over It as It brushed through the sparse and wiry scrub.
Illumination dispassionately revealed how profoundly the journey had metamorphosed It.
Where once It donned the proud hues of the Floralia,
It bore now the earthen tones of squalor;
the butterfly of an inverted cocoon;
a testament to the trials of that epoch.

The oasis drew closer;
its crystalline waters still;
that the mother of all animation could lay in such insentience taunted reason.
Shadow bathed the dead oasis, save one brilliant column.

It continued Its deliberate journey toward the water,
perhaps to sate some imperceptible thirst;
perhaps to fulfill some predetermination of The Fates.
With an abrupt flex,
It was pinched free of Its encumbrance,
and tumbled openly toward the water.
The vitreous surface was shattered,
and the imperfect shards danced along its circumference.

As if by some holy union of the two,
a deluge of light began to pour in from all sides.
For the luciferous column had become legion.
The oasis sprang to life and revealed itself:
A cenote!
The walls stretched upward above the water as if to invite God himself to tread upon them.
The stone so without flaw that its quarry could only be Carrara.

With an explosive shake of earth,
The violence of the enlivened water began to pull It deeper into its caverns.
Down, away from the frowsy den!
Down, away from the worlds of deliberation and darkness!
Down, into the wild white cenote!

The above poem is of course about poo falling into a toilet and being flushed away. Please take the time to reread and exchange your confusion for revulsion.

I hereby found The Noble Ordure. It is a school of pooetry that believes in the primacy of poop as muse. Consideration for induction into The Noble Ordure will now be accepted. Please provide a writing sample in the comments section below.
